InMovement® Unveils Vision of the Activated Workplace™
New Company Dedicated to Productive Wellbeing™ to Launch Four New Products
Rosemont, Ill., Sept. 22, 2015 – InMovement, the pioneer of Productive Wellbeing™, is set to unveil its vision of the Activated Workplace™ at the Employer Healthcare and Benefits Congress in Orlando, Fla., on Monday, September 28th.
Sitting all day is bad for our health and the health of business. Recently announced as part of Brunswick Corporation’s fitness and active lifestyle division, InMovement will introduce the Activated Workplace—a next generation workplace vision that combats the sedentary nature of the modern office by integrating movement into a wide range of daily work activities. InMovement has created its portfolio of workplace furnishings to unite healthy behavior with productivity. The company’s unique design perspective redefines corporate wellness to support what it calls Productive Wellbeing, transforming how we approach wellness at work today.
“At InMovement, we’re building a body of user research and foresight on the future of the healthy workplace,” said Paul Siebert, director of design and innovation for InMovement. “We believe that we are at an evolutionary tipping point, where work policies and processes will re-embrace movement to enable sustainable work culture.”
InMovement has piloted its products and services for more than a year with Fortune 100 companies, law firms, small private businesses and wellness companies looking for new ways to blend wellbeing into the workplace. Through its trials, InMovement has collected user feedback on the Productive Wellbeing approach that shows significant increases in energy and productivity, with reductions in stress, pain, discomfort and absenteeism. Employees who have participated in InMovement trials report increased job satisfaction and an influence on other healthy behaviors as a result of working differently.
“Imagine going to work and actually getting healthier,” said Siebert. “We’re designing products and services that give you the freedom to move more throughout the day and allow employees to prioritize both their health and their work, a concept lost in many modern workplaces. Movement is human nature, and the workplace is about to feel much more human.”
Next week, InMovement will showcase the next generation of innovative workplace solutions at the company’s launch event, September 27-30, in Orlando, Fla., in partnership with the Employer Health and Benefits Congress (EHBC), a leading non-profit organization dedicated to corporate health.
