Truemed works with leading health and wellness brands to help eligible customers use HSA/FSA funds for their purchases. Through its network of medical providers, Truemed can issue Letters of Medical Necessity for qualified customers, unlocking meaningful savings.

A Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) is a formal document written by a licensed healthcare provider to confirm that a specific product, service, or treatment is essential to a patient’s health. HSA/FSA administrators may require an LMN before approving reimbursement.

With a Truemed-issued LMN, exercise is recognized as a qualified medical expense, ensuring your purchase meets IRS requirements for reimbursement.

Approval typically takes 2–5 hours, and you’re free to place your order while you wait. In some cases, Truemed’s provider team may need additional time depending on your qualification survey.

Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) let you set aside pre-tax dollars for eligible healthcare expenses.

If you’re unsure whether you have an HSA or FSA, check with your employer or insurance provider.

There’s no cost to you when purchasing from a Truemed partner like InMovement.

HSA and FSA accounts allow you to use pre-tax dollars to pay for products or services that treat, prevent, or mitigate a diagnosed medical condition. Because these funds are tax-advantaged, you gain more purchasing power—using pre-tax income rather than taxed take-home pay to invest in your health.

Annual contribution limits are:

• HSA: up to $4,300 for individuals or $8,550 for families, plus an additional $1,000 if you’re 55 or older.
  
• FSA: up to $3,300 per individual.

When you purchase InMovement products and eligible accessories, there’s no reimbursement process required. Your HSA/FSA funds can be used directly at checkout.

Here’s how it works:

1. Check out on the InMovement website and select the “Truemed – Pay with HSA/FSA” option. (If a Shop Pay pop-up appears, simply close it.)

2. Complete your Truemed qualification. You can place your order immediately afterward. A Letter of Medical Necessity will arrive via email—usually within a few hours.

3. Pay with your HSA/FSA card. If your account doesn’t have enough funds, you can use a credit card for the remaining balance.

Please note: final qualification is determined by a licensed healthcare provider.

No problem – If you don’t have sufficient HSA/FSA funds, you can split your payment between your credit card and your HSA/FSA card.

Yes. If you prefer to use your regular credit card, Truemed will send you instructions on how to submit for reimbursement from your HSA/FSA administrator.

Yes, you can use discount codes on transactions that use an HSA/FSA as payment.

No, unfortunately not at this time.

You can use HSA/FSA funds at any time throughout the year. Keep in mind that FSA dollars typically expire on December 31 and may not roll over, so be sure to use any remaining balance before year-end.
