Unsit Standing Desk

The Unsit Walking Treadmill is paired with the new Unsit Standing Desk - optimized specifically for use with a treadmill thanks to it's 54" max height (That's 3-5" higher than most other desks in the market).

The desk features a small cutout in the front edge of the desk, designed to bring more of your desk within reach.

We also designed the Unsit to make the assembly quick and easy - even for non-handy users.  You don't need to bring any tools, and most of the work is already done for you.

The Unsit Standing Desk is available in 2 sizes:

  • 48" x 24" Compact Desk - This desk was specifically designed with the home office in mind - or for people that plan to use the treadmill desk as a secondary workstation.  It won't take up much space in your office, but keep in mind that it also doesn't offer a lot of work space.

  • 60" x 30" Executive Desk - This desk features an extra large work surface designed to better serve as a primary workstation.  You'll have plenty of space for large monitors or extra work items.

Shipping Details:

All UnSit Treadmill Desks ship from our warehouse in Indianapolis.  Orders typically ship within 2 business days, and can take anywhere from 2-10 days in transit.

NOTE: CURRENT LEAD TIMES ARE HIGHLY VARIABLE WITH ALL CARRIERS

We now ship all US orders exclusively with Fedex Freight (excluding Canada), to ensure that all shipments will be delivered consistently and with good care - and to give you the added benefit of full tracking transparency (most other freight carriers don't offer great shipment tracking).

There are three different shipping options for you to choose from:

  1. CURBSIDE DELIVERY (FREE)
The Freight Carrier will deliver the pallet with your Treadmill Desk onto your property, but they are not obligated to get it inside your home or office.

  2. INSIDE DELIVERY ($199)
The Carrier will call and schedule a time window and the driver will move the boxes inside your home or office to a room of your choice.  They may also help remove the packaging if you choose to do so.  NOTE: In commercial office buildings the driver is only obligated to bring the treadmill past the “first threshold” of the building. They may not bring it up elevators or down long corridors.

  3. WHITE GLOVE SERVICE ($499)
InMovement will contract with a qualified treadmill technician in your area, ship your Treadmill Desk to them and they will schedule an appointment, assemble and install your new Treadmill Desk where you want it. The White Glove Service provider will remove the shipping carton and materials.

The Unsit Treadmill is packaged in a sturdy carton and strapped - along with the Unsit Standing Desk - to a custom wood pallet for secure handling by the freight company. Once the treadmill ships, we will email you a tracking number (aka; PRO number). The freight company should call you to schedule a delivery but you can speed things up by calling the freight company when you receive your tracking number and schedule a delivery date. With curbside service the truck driver is only obligated to deliver the pallet onto your property. Sometimes they will help move it all the way inside but typically they will leave it on your driveway or move it into a garage if easily accessible. (See notes about Curbside Service or White Glove Service above).

Once on your property, cut the black bands that hold the treadmill to the pallet. You can either unpack the treadmill and wheel it in on a dolly or on the treadmill’s front wheels, OR, two people can carry the whole box inside by lifting the carton by the yellow bands, then unpack it once inside. In some cases, it is better to move the treadmill in while it is still in the carton as you can drag the carton on its side and the treadmill will be protected. In other cases it is better to remove the treadmill from the carton outside and have two strong people carry and wheel it in.

Returns:

We’re so confident you’ll love your Unsit Treadmill that if you’re not happy in the first 30 days you can return it for a FULL REFUND, minus the cost of shipping.

Here's how it works:

If you purchased direct from InMovement, e-mail us for a written authorization/approval. To receive your refund or credit, you MUST CONTACT InMovement via email within 30 DAYS of receiving delivery of the treadmill desk.

InMovement will setup the return shipment and arrange for pick up from your location.  Please allow for 5-10 business days for scheduling and pickup.

You are responsible for the cost of the return freight to InMovement, which varies from $250 - $500, depending on your location.

Items must be returned un-damaged and in new condition and MUST BE REPACKED IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING and on the ORIGINAL PALLET.  Without the packaging and pallet, we have to send a white glove service with a custom pallet to come to your location and re-package the treadmill before returning the shipment.  This can add as much as $400 - $500 to the cost of the return.

*If you have any uncertainty about keeping your treadmill, please make sure you keep the original packaging and pallet until you decide to keep the treadmill*

Once we receive your returned product, we will inspect the treadmill and then credit your purchase using the original form of payment within five business days of receiving the product at our warehouse. Added delivery and installation fees will NOT be refunded (i.e. white glove or inside delivery).

Exactly what I wanted

Super stable, super quiet. I’m really enjoying being able to move during meetings. Wish I had purchased sooner.

Solid product with a few issues

TLDR: I like it a lot, I use it almost every weekday, and I recommend it if you need something heavy duty - but it lacks the polish I'd expect at this price point.

This is a functional, well constructed piece of equipment. I didn't have a lot of alternatives because of my size, but I'm pleased to say the Unsit performs well. I'm over 300 pounds, but the belt surface and side panels handle the weight just fine. I have to step hard to get even a slight catch in the belt. I've put over 200 miles on it in roughly 8 weeks, mostly at max speed (2 mph), walking up to 5 hours a day. I've mostly worn out a new pair of shoes, but the treadmill is fine. I'm about 5'10", and the short track works at the speeds it supports. I'm very glad for the extra belt width, I'd feel squeezed without it. It looks good generally, but the plastic hood and end-caps look cheap and diminish the overall image.

Setup:
It is big, and the package it comes in is bigger. If you can't easily move a couple hundred pounds around, you'll need help. It was well secured and wrapped for shipping. There's virtually no setup to do except taking it out of the box, plugging it in, and centering the tread using the hex bolts at the back (the instructions weren't very useful for this, but it's standard among treadmills and YouTube has plenty of quick explanations). The pallet was a nice inclusion, although you'll need a place to store it and it had some sharp protrusions that threatened my floor. I also had a pouch of desiccant rupture inside the package, and it took a long while to find and vacuum up all the loose beads.

Issues:
1) When I first ran the machine, it was incredibly loud. Customer support was great - they responded quickly after I raised the issue, and they were able to walk me through troubleshooting over the phone. I had the option of having someone come out to work on it, but since I could handle lifting/moving the unit on my own, phone support was a nice alternative. It turned out the plastic front panel was pushed too low and scraping the belt. Adjusting it was easy enough, but the design could be improved to prevent that kind of contact. It only took a couple hours total to get the issue resolved.
2) The weight sensor is supposed to prevent the unit from starting without at least 60 pounds on it, and is supposed to turn off automatically if you step off. This rarely works - the unit will sometimes turn off, but often will run for whole minutes without anyone on it. This seems like a legitimate safety issue, and I've already had someone take a tumble stepping onto it without realizing it was still running. The irony is I never would have assumed it would turn off on its own if they didn't advertise the feature.
3) The app is so defunct I can't even install it on my phone, and there's no other interface to get info on speed, distance, time in use, etc. To have any idea how much I'm using it, I have to track my start and stop times manually and log miles on a spreadsheet, which is pretty annoying, especially at this price point.
4) The plastic caps at the back of each side panel have protrusions that go about an inch onto the belt. At least once on each side my foot has caught on the protrusion and made a huge snapping sound, which was startling to say the least. It also made a decent gouge in my shoe.

Even with those issues, I won't take a full star off my rating as long as it keeps running like it does now. This seems to be the best option on the market for what I need, and I'm glad to have it.

Built like a tank

I’m about 300lb, and was worried about ordering a normal treadmill for my desk setup due to most of them not supporting my weight. This thing is incredible, and the wider belt is perfect for me, making it so I don’t have to think about where I step.

Breaking Out of Sedentary Life

I wanted to share my experience with the Unsit Treadmill. As a solution architect and developer, I've spent years sitting through multi-hour meetings, which has led to a sedentary lifestyle and weight gain. However, since I started using the Unsit Treadmill, I've been able to return to walking and improve my health. I now walk around 3 miles daily (in meetings) and have noticed increased energy when doing everyday tasks, better sleep, and a better feeling in meetings. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking to improve their health and break out of a sedentary lifestyle. Please read the manual and ensure you understand how to adjust the belt with the provided tool, as it may walk or slip through consistent use.

Worthwhile Investment

I purchased the Unsit Treadmill and the Unsit Sit/Stand Desk that goes with it. I had done a fair bit of consumer analysis on differently priced options from various sites and read a few consumer reports on the features and challenges of each model I was considering. I wanted a treadmill that was sturdy and one that I could be confident in that it could support my weight. I wanted a treadmill that did not take up much space (length wise) as I have a shorter stride. I wanted a treadmill that I didn't worry about taking a wrong step and falling off of (larger width). I purchased this in early 2023 and I've waited a few months to give this review. I love the option of the sit/stand desk. I had wanted one for my home office for years, but I was intimidated at the idea of finding the right desk to match with the right treadmill. While these are pricey, they match perfectly. The desk fits great over the treadmill and I appreciate the cord management (though I did supplement some of my own). I'm glad I made the investment. It's nice to be able to walk during longer meetings or when the weather is less enjoyable. I am giving this a 5 star review because it's been a great addition to my home office and life. I will say that I do sit for work quite a bit, too. I walk during meetings and I usually sit when I'm deep in my technical work. I use an exercise ball on top of the treadmill when I want to sit. It works for me for now, but there may be times or stages in my life where I would prefer a chair on the floor. Please note that the treadmill is heavy. It will likely be placed and stay in place unlike some you make have seen that can be stored away when not in use. It took me and my partner all of our strength to move it into place. My cat also loves to bat her spring toys under it. They don't get stuck in the mechanisms (which is a plus!), but I'm always nervous to lift the treadmill to get them out. You don't want this falling on your foot or head while you're cleaning under it so I strongly recommend getting someone else to help you do so. I loved the color options and the aesthetics of the design, while still being functional office furniture, they compliment my other, more traditional white furniture that is in the room nicely. I really like this desk and treadmill. It's an investment for sure, but based on my needs and wants, I'm glad I bought it. I hope this review helps you make an informed purchasing decision!
