All UnSit Treadmill Desks ship from our warehouse in Indianapolis. Orders typically ship within 2 business days, and can take anywhere from 2-10 days in transit.
NOTE: CURRENT LEAD TIMES ARE HIGHLY VARIABLE WITH ALL CARRIERS
We now ship all US orders exclusively with Fedex Freight (excluding Canada), to ensure that all shipments will be delivered consistently and with good care - and to give you the added benefit of full tracking transparency (most other freight carriers don't offer great shipment tracking).
There are three different shipping options for you to choose from:
The Unsit Treadmill is packaged in a sturdy carton and strapped - along with the Unsit Standing Desk - to a custom wood pallet for secure handling by the freight company. Once the treadmill ships, we will email you a tracking number (aka; PRO number). The freight company should call you to schedule a delivery but you can speed things up by calling the freight company when you receive your tracking number and schedule a delivery date. With curbside service the truck driver is only obligated to deliver the pallet onto your property. Sometimes they will help move it all the way inside but typically they will leave it on your driveway or move it into a garage if easily accessible. (See notes about Curbside Service or White Glove Service above).
Once on your property, cut the black bands that hold the treadmill to the pallet. You can either unpack the treadmill and wheel it in on a dolly or on the treadmill’s front wheels, OR, two people can carry the whole box inside by lifting the carton by the yellow bands, then unpack it once inside. In some cases, it is better to move the treadmill in while it is still in the carton as you can drag the carton on its side and the treadmill will be protected. In other cases it is better to remove the treadmill from the carton outside and have two strong people carry and wheel it in.
We’re so confident you’ll love your Unsit Treadmill that if you’re not happy in the first 30 days you can return it for a FULL REFUND, minus the cost of shipping.
Here's how it works:
If you purchased direct from InMovement, e-mail us for a written authorization/approval. To receive your refund or credit, you MUST CONTACT InMovement via email within 30 DAYS of receiving delivery of the treadmill desk.
InMovement will setup the return shipment and arrange for pick up from your location. Please allow for 5-10 business days for scheduling and pickup.
You are responsible for the cost of the return freight to InMovement, which varies from $250 - $500, depending on your location.
Items must be returned un-damaged and in new condition and MUST BE REPACKED IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING and on the ORIGINAL PALLET. Without the packaging and pallet, we have to send a white glove service with a custom pallet to come to your location and re-package the treadmill before returning the shipment. This can add as much as $400 - $500 to the cost of the return.
*If you have any uncertainty about keeping your treadmill, please make sure you keep the original packaging and pallet until you decide to keep the treadmill*
Once we receive your returned product, we will inspect the treadmill and then credit your purchase using the original form of payment within five business days of receiving the product at our warehouse. Added delivery and installation fees will NOT be refunded (i.e. white glove or inside delivery).
TLDR: Solid treadmill but I can't recommend it at this price point until they invest in the app (and preferably improve the control pad too).
The treadmill is pretty good thus far (~200k steps, so still pretty new). I've had treadmill desks a few times over the years, with running treadmills and a Lifespan commercial walking treadmill and the Unsit treadmill is better than both. The extra width is nice, the length is good for me at a bit over 6', and the metal siderails are better than Lifespan's plastic ones that broke easily.
The controller is a bit annoying in a few ways. You press the button in to start but depending on how you were last using it may start slow or may ramp back to the same speed you left it. It makes a loud beeping as you push or spin the wheel and has no setting that I can tell to adjust or silence this. A smaller control pad, mountable under edge of a desk, with a preset button for your usual walking speed would be better. Control panels for sit/stand desks have this figured out already and inmovement could copy this.
The app remains the worst part of the experience however. It is like they put out a MVP version of the app that did the bare minimum and have never revisited it. I'm not sure if they designed the app thinking only of commercial office users (where the treadmills are constantly changing between people), but the idea that I, the only user of this treadmill, need to regularly open the app and manually connect my phone to the treadmill to get step counts is asinine. This regularly causes me to not have my walking time counted as I either forget to connect it at the beginning of the day, or it gets disconnected sometime during the day and I don't notice. Once you reconnect, it starts logging steps from that moment but you don't get any credit for the steps while it was disconnected. Nor is there any mechanism to control the privacy of the app or export data (other than what it syncs with Apple Health, which it calls iHealth?). Want to see your steps for the previous day broken down by hour? Sorry, no way to do that. Want to see your total steps for all time on the treadmill? Sorry, can only show you the results for this year (again, no way to change the selected dates).
Hi B.P. - so sorry to hear that your experience has been anything less than great, but thank you for the feed back. The good news is that we should be ready to launch our new app any day now. We've had several starts and stops in the development process (admittedly, we're a much more experienced product company than software develoment company), but we're just now working out some final details and bugs prior to launch.
The new app should fix the need to connect via bluetooth every time you leave the treadmill, will have a new modern dashboard, and will improve the integration process with Apple, Google and Fitbit health tracking apps.
With regards to the controls - the speed should resume at the same speed you were walking previously, following short stoppages. If you step away from the treadmill for several minutes, it will resume once again at .3 mph.
Looking forward to making this better for you very soon, and I hope you'll continue to give us feedback as we go.
The treadmill itself is good, except it doesn't have the ability to send data to third party apps and their app is terrible and unusable. That's really the only way to track how much you use it and determine how often you need to lube it. Hope they fix this situation
Hi Charles - I just want to make sure you know that we are getting ready to launch an entirely new Unsit App any day now. We're just working through some final testing before going live in the Apple and Android stores.
The new app will update the bluetooth connection process (so you won't need to manually connect every time), will have a much better and more modern look, and will once again sync properly with Apple, Google and Fitbit tracking).
Thank you for your feedback, and I hope you like the new app!
I work at a desk all day. Even with a sit stand desk historically I have tended to sit for most of the day. With the desk treadmill I’m now standing and walking for most of the day. This is a tremendous improvement, and I feel the positive effects like better focus and no soreness from prolonged sitting. I’m happy with the purchase!
I used a LifeSpan for the past 3 years. It required constant maintenance. Customer support was slower and slower to respond and finally quit responding altogether (and I still had 2 years left on the warranty I purchased). I did a bunch of research before deciding to invest in the Unsit desk and treadmill. I absolutely love them. I walk 8 hours/day, 5 days/week, and so far (3 weeks of full use) it doesn't overheat, it doesn't make grinding or whining noises, it doesn't smell like burning--it just works. We do clean beneath it every week and abide by all the upkeep recommended in the manual. I hope it will last for many years. I also really appreciate how well the desk works with it and how nice and professional they look together.
quiet, sturdy, and can run as long as you want. I've started to walk about 30 - 60 minutes a day, and stand a lot more. My overall health is improving substantially.
